The purpose of The Warrnambool & District Junior Tennis Association is to advance and promote the game of tennis for junior players in the Warrnambool and surrounding area.
The Association provides this advancement with a summer pennant seasons, a squad for players wishing to extend their tennis and our annual Spring Tournament.
Pennant dates for 2009/2010 season:
Summer pennant: 31st October - 27th March
The summer pennant is played on The Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club grass and en-tous-cas courts during school terms 4 and 1. The format is teams graded into sections by a combination of age and ability
All pennants are played during the school term with no play on public holidays.
Spring tournament date:
The Spring tournament is played over 2 days in October. Events included are singles and doubles from 10 and under to 18 and under, and mixed doubles graded into 2 sections. The Warrnambool & District Hardcourt Championships are also incorporated into the Tournament with a perpetual trophy for the winning Boy and Girl.
Training and Development Squad:
Our squad is sponsored by Tennis Victoria and continues throughout the year with eight sessions each school term. We cater for all junior players interested in advancing their tennis with numerous squad levels working with our local coaching talent to provide training and direction for the tennis players who wish to take their sport to another level.
